"Helping our parks grow because money doesn't grow on trees."

WHO WE ARE

The Lisle Partners For Parks Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which means that any contributions made to the organization are tax deductible. While the foundation supports the mission of the Lisle Park District, it should not be mistaken as part of the Lisle Park District. It is managed by a ten member board of volunteers that either work and/or live within the greater Lisle community.

WHAT WE DO

The Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation's purpose is to raise money through corporate and private contributions and in-kind donations. These funds are used for enriching the quality of life in the greater Lisle community by offering scholarships for families who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs, contributing to the beautification of parks and protection of natural resources, supporting and enhancing community programs and promoting recreational opportunities. Funding for projects such as these is not usually appropriated from tax dollars.

The foundation will also encourage and build relationships between private and public organizations which will promote the exchange of services and technical expertise.

Since 2003, the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation has raised and provided for:

Financial Assistance

Annually set aside $12,000 for financial assistance to Lisle Park District families who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs.

Playground Equipment

Provided all funds to construct an outdoor safe and secure playground for Lisle Park District's Gentle Learning Preschool.

New Bus for Teen Programs

Provided funding to purchase a new bus for the Lisle Park District to use for teen programs.

Fitness Equipment

Outdoor Lighted Sign

Provided funds to install a new outdoor lighted sign outside of the Lisle Community Center.

Boat/Kayak Launch

Provided $15,000 for the construction of a boat/kayak launch on the East Branch of the DuPage River in Community Park.

Discovery Playground

Provided $100,000 for the construction of Lisle's first, universally accessible playground in Community Park. Children and adults, with and without disabilities and/or critical illnesses, have the opportunity to play, learn, and grow, in a space specifically designed to remove physical and social barriers.
